Class begins on Sep. 22 through Nov. 17

It has been over a year since I was appointed to the Portola United Methodist Church as my first solo pastorate position. With understanding and support from you, I am learning the culture and the spirit of worship of the Portola United Methodist Church.
We had a big celebration of our centennial day. It was an honor for me to be here to celebrate the centennial day with you. Our celebration was not only about the past but also about our future. It is time that we reflect on the past 100 years and look forward to the future.
I would like to have the centennial day be a turning point in re-visioning of our mission. For our re-visioning, we had a group meeting with “Catch Fire in 50 days” during the summer for Spiritual renewal.
Now, we will share our visions for the future, and set goals for our church, so that we know where we are heading for.
I’d like our church to go in the same direction as if we are in a same boat. Even though we have different talents and gifts, when we row to the same direction, we will experience the revival of our church over the survival of the church.
You are sincerely invited to get into the boat. Come to join the small group meeting and put your input for the future of the Portola United Methodist Church. :)
